- My income is modest, but I am appalled at the constant lies about the rich paying their"fair share." In 2006, the top 10% of wage earners payed 71% of the total income tax revenues collected. The bottom 50% only paid 3%. Clearly, the rest of us are already stealing plenty of the rich's money.
